JON KROLL
DIRECTOR

After Kroll's Amanda and the Alien became Showtime's
highest rated original picture of 1995, they asked him to
helm writer Mark Valenti's dystopian futuristic thriller.
He worked with producer Larry Estes to assemble the film's
star-studded cast and celebrated creative team. Kroll
contributed to many of the film's unique attributes, including:

Shooting the story at the former Howard Hughes
Aircraft Factory - in fact, Senator Powell
(Robert Vaughn) is gunned down in Hughes'
actual office.

Directing the visual effects sequences
(overseen by Visual Effects Supervisor
Scott Templeton) in digital video,
the first time such sequences were
included in a 35mm feature.

Preparing the Special Edition DVD of the film,
Showtime's first such release.
